On the weekend of December 27/28, Strasburg’s wrestling squad participated in the Willie Walters/Gordon Bayles Holiday Invitational. Held at James Wood’s Donald H. Shirley Gymnasium, the depleted (3 forfeited weight classes) Ram’s team finished with a 2-6 record against larger schools. A bright spot for the squad was senior Riley Burke (160 weight class). Burke went 8-0 over the two day tournament, including 6 pins and 2 technical falls. Jeff Musterman also looked strong, finishing with a 7-1 record at the 130 weight class.
